WATER SUPPLY FOR HYDROSTATIC TANK TEST EMILY PROJECT 1

Home Case Study WATER SUPPLY FOR HYDROSTATIC TANK TEST EMILY PROJECT 1

The Project

PT. Tripatra Engineers & Constructors at Emily 1 Project Kariangau

Coates won the contract for supplying pumps used to supply water for Hydrostatic Tank Tests. We provided Godwin Pump HL260 which capable of operating at a maximum head of 147 meters and maximum capacity 1260 m^3

The Field Application

In performing the Hydrotesting Tank Test, Tripatra needed to supply the sea water with capacity of 500 m3/hour to the tank whose height is 70 meters. From the pump location to the tanks distanced 1,5 km and connected with 12” pipe.

Coates Pumping Solution

Coates designed a pumping solution and selected the right pump for the project.

An HL260 with Pontoon sent to the project location. Coates Engineering team and Tripatra team performed the installation and setting up the pumps safely and timely.

Successful Project Completion

The project was challenging. Coates needed to provide a precise calculation to ensure the pump selection was properly matched to the requirement of the project. This had to do with the strict schedule of project completion and the high expectation of the test accuracy. The project location was also challenging, and Coates and client had to ensure that the project safely executed.
Pumps installation and setting up was performed on December 15, 2020, and the completion was as per expected schedule. The project safety completed and as per expected schedule.
