Pumping application for Geothermal projects involve unique risks and challenges. It demands high machine reliability and availability to ensure the project completion meeting the strict deadline.

Coates involves in providing the pumping solution to above three different Geothermal Projects. Having the data of application, Coates provides HL160 Godwin Pump as solution to comply  a maximum head of 187 meters and a maximum capacity of 130 litres/second.

The Background Issues

All three customers experienced delays in the project progression because the pumps supplied by the previous contractors were not reliable with low availability. Coates offered a solution with the right specification HL160 Godwin Pump and committed reliable services.

The Pumping Solution

The projects of Geothermal require high-head pump. The pumps mostly operate for pumping high temperature water up to 80⁰C. HL160 Godwin Pump, the selected type of pump, has been proven as reliable, heat resistant and long running pumps under its specification.

The Impact

Coates’s ability to perform application calculations and pump selection has brought the Geothermal Project to run safely and successfully on time according to the requirements without any delay. The average reliability and availability of the pumps onsite are above 90%.
