Jakarta 10th rugby tournament

Coates Indonesia was again the proud sponsor of The 10th Jakarta Rugby Tournament Saturday 03th May 2014. This is a major event of Asia Rugby circuit with 24 teams playing this year from Jakarta, Bandung, Kalimantan, Sumbawa, Papua, Singapore and Malaysia.

The day was tremendous success due to the generous sponsorship and support of Coates Indonesia who provide Promac lighting tower and LED Greenlite to support this event. This allowed the event to be staged over one full day , with the semi-finals and Grand Finals being played under lights.

On behalf of the Jakarta Komodos I would like to extend a massive thank you to Coates for the ongoing support of the Jakarta Komodos and our annual Jakarta Komodos 10s competition.

The Jakarta Komodos 10s is one of the key pillars of the Indonesia Rugby calendar and is a growing force on the Asian 10s circuit. The year prior to your kind sponsorship we had 16 teams compete in the competition, with the majority being Indonesian based. We now have 24 teams entering each year and many more being shortlisted from all over Asia. The sponsorship in floodlights that you have provided over the last 3 years has played a huge part in growing this tournament. Not only are the lights first class, but they have allowed the Komodos more flexibility in how the competition is run, providing more playing hours and further add to the spectacle of setting out at Jagorawi. Playing under lights is somewhat of a novelty in Indonesia and your products take away obstacles in preventing us develope the game, our club and the competition even further.

On top of this, your team on ground are always a pleasure to work with, listen to our requests and instructions and always respect our pitch, despite the difficult conditions in setting up equipment.
